2013 Best and Worst Official Rules
No purchase is necessary. Must be 18 years of age or older to win. Must be a resident of Virginia to qualify. This promotion is void where prohibited by law. Only one entry per person/computer.
Employees and immediate family members of employees of the sponsors are not eligible to participate in this promotion.
Online surveys must have 10 answers completed and the necessary fields of information filled out to be considered eligible. All responses are confidential, meaning we are not going to attribute who voted for what and your information will not go to a third party. Any attempts at online ballot stuffing will make those entries ineligible.
To enter, complete the online Best and Worst ballot at www.richmondmagazine.com/votebest. All ballots must be received by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013.
There will be three (3) winners selected from all qualified ballots. The prize winners will be notified by telephone and/or email from the information provided on the entry form. If the winner cannot be confirmed within 7days from the initial contact, the prize will be forfeited and another winner may be selected. Judges decisions are final. Sponsors reserve the right to use any information submitted by participants for any purpose whatsoever.
The prize winners agree to the use of their names and likenesses in publicity without any additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. By entering this promotion, the grand prize winners acknowledge that Richmond magazine and all other sponsors and venues have the right to publicize their name, voice and likeness, the fact that they won, and all matters incidental thereto.
By entering this promotion, each participant forever discharges and releases the sponsors from any and all liability, claims, causes of action, suits, and demands of any kind arising from or in connection with the promotion, including, without limitation, responsibility for property damage, loss of life or personal injury resulting from or in connection with participating in the promotion or from or in connection with use or receipt of the prizes, however caused.
Driver’s license or other appropriate picture identification is required to claim the prizes. Winners must take possession of their prize certificate by August 31, 2013 or such prize will be forfeited.
In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by Richmond magazine are final and binding.
Promotion rules are subject to modification by Richmond magazine to ensure the fairness of the promotion.
Upon request, one paper ballot will be provided to anyone who comes into the Richmond magazine office and requests one and the ballot must be completed in our office.

The sponsors assume no responsibility in the event of any malfunction of any equipment whatsoever, including internet service provider, or for any affect such malfunction may have on the participants’ ability to participate in the promotion.
All entries become the property of the sponsors.
Richmond magazine reserves the right to change or discontinue the promotion at any time and to extend the end date. Any changes to the contest rules will be announced on www.richmondmagazine.com within a reasonable time prior to their taking effect.
