Are you watching Design Star on HGTV? Tomorrow night is the show’s finale when the judges will finally decide on a winner and announce who has earned their own HGTV show.

As an a HGTV junkie, it’s a competition I love watching every summer. If you’re not a viewer, here’s how the show works: Designers on Design Star are judged not only on their design savvy (revealed through sometimes crazy challenges) but also on their on-camera abilities. (That’s clearly been the toughest test for all of them this season and others.)

The finale starts at 9 p.m. tomorrow, July 24. That’s when we’ll see finalists Danielle Colding and Britany Simon face off. Danielle’s style plays up her world travels, and she’s great at using textures and effortlessly mixing eclectic global items. Britany describes her aesthetic as “modern glam.” Her strengths lie in high contrast, updated Hollywood Regency designs. I love the graphic accent walls she’s designed from wood strips and moldings. Her diamond-patterned wall, with white trim covering royal-blue-painted walls, really wowed.

Britany’s my bet for the winner. She looks the part, and her style offers the benefit of a trendy, niche focus. Who’s your favorite?
